Sine having been chartered in 2006, The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary has hosted a Holiday auction to support the programs and services of The Salvation Army and in the six years of the Holiday auctions the Women’s Auxiliary has raised more than $70,000. Items in the auction are donated from Auxiliary members, board members, community partners and businesses. Some items are up for auction during a silent auction while others are part of the live auction.
In 2009 The Women’s Auxiliary added a fashion show to the event. In each year since, the fashion show has been hosted by Vanessa Coria of WVEC-TV 13News while the clothing in the fashion show has been either from Dillard’s or Nordstrom. In 2011 The Women’s Auxiliary had LaSalle Blanks, Vanessa’s co-host on WVEC’s Daybreak, serve as the auctioneer for the live auction.

How to Help
Become a sponsor or donate a product or service from your company for the auction. In return, donors will receive recognition of the contribution in the event program. Monetary donations are also accepted in lieu of contributions of items or services; ticket purchases are also appreciated.
Donations may be brought to The Salvation Army Hampton Roads Area Command, 5525 Raby Road, Norfolk by October 26, 2012.
